Looking for Help Building a New Computer?

I have created a new Configuration Guide for building a great AMD64 machine. Recent changes mainly in SLI, and PCIe required that a new guide be made. You guys can check it out HERE

And if your looking for advice on going dual Opteron, check out my guide from October 2004 on that. Things haven't changed that much so check that out HERE. You would want to swap the 520w OCZ PSU for the 600w OCZ PSU in the Jan guide above, and also the HSF's for the all Copper HSF's also in that guide.

You guys can let me know if you have questions here, or sign up on that site (if you haven't already) and post them in the General section where I posted this.

skip the zalman fan, the stock AMD fan is damn good, plus the zalman didnt fit my 939 board i just built...other than that looks nice, good luck building it!

Yea the Zalman doesn't fit a lot of boards unless you modify it. The stock cooling is fine unless you want to overclock and keep temps low. I actually had to modify the Zalman to fit my Motherboard in my machine, but it was really easy, just had to cut part of the bracket on one side off with a drumel and it fit perfectly. Personally, I haven't seen any socket 939 boards that this wouldn't fit, you just have to modify the Zalman for it to work on some.

For any looking at this, I can guarentee that the Zalman does indeed fit the ASUS board also in this thread, and since the configuration on the Chaintech looks similar, you should have no problem there either.
