Re: What antivirus do you use?
I bet Xrumer made this topic and a lot of other ones on this board, it's pretty awesome if you're into that
Re: What antivirus do you use?
How many posts I must have I can download this?
Re: What antivirus do you use?
Hello spam bot.
I use AVG Free.
Although, as a paid alternative CA is fantastic. Very cheap and high quality product that does not overuse system resource (such as Norton etc). http://shop.ca.com/ca/products/antivirus/antivirus_plus.asp
Re: What antivirus do you use?
norton is freaking terrible. It is currently using ~60MB on my laptop for work right now just being idle.
Re: What antivirus do you use?
912k idle for MS security essentials. Skillz.
Re: What antivirus do you use?
No antivirus ...just malwarebytes and im really happy with it
Re: What antivirus do you use?
I've never ran any anti-spyware on my mac, any recommendations?
Re: What antivirus do you use?
I use AVG free along with weekly scans using Malwarebytes
Norton is terrible, as well as being a resource hog, it can't figure out wtf it's supposed to be blocking and half the time tries to block applications I've installed.. at least that's how it was when I last used it almost 10 years ago
that and macafee < rubbish
Re: What antivirus do you use?
I use Norton security suite

Exactly.
Re: What antivirus do you use?
Antivir or AVG free
Re: What antivirus do you use?
I am using ESET Nod32 Antivirus Home Edition: http://www.en.nod32.ch/products/ena.php Size of the program is only 40MB and it's protecting my OS without giving me the impression that it's all over it and so deep inside of it that I can't get it out anymore if I like to (like Norton). It also doesn't give me 1000 options I do not need (like Norton lol). It is not free though, one year is around 22 dollars or something in that range. But it is small, it doesn't bother me at all or affects the performance of my PC and it does what it should so it's well worth it.
Re: What antivirus do you use?
MSE + Malawarebytes and Spybot S&D ftmfw.
Re: What antivirus do you use?
Spybot I always liked too
Re: What antivirus do you use?
Avira and for further protection in Firefox, adblockplus and noscript.
Re: What antivirus do you use?
My antivirus is common sense and a good browser.
Re: What antivirus do you use?
NOD32 + Malawarebytes

I have checked all anti viruses (long live pirated software) this is the best. It uses the least amount of memory. it doesn't slow the PC down (even at start up) and I never had a breach.
It's only a matter of time.
you have personal experience with creating virus's or what? I don't get it
Re: What antivirus do you use?
well, according to my IT professor (who has been involved since before mac and microsoft): apple systems have only started to become universally utilized.... i'm talking like right after the turn of the century --- while microsoft systems have monopolized, and have been universally utilized, commerically, industrially, etc. etc since forever. i don't know how relatively correct this all is, but you get the gist of it. i had pcs and macs in the 90s; at that time, macs where pretty much like non-existent, non-existent when compared to how widely used they are today.
since everyone (or at least on a consumer basis) is jumping on the bandwagon - thinking a mac is the best and hippest way to go; and everyone in the creative realm is starting to use macs as a designated workstation, i would postulate that viruses and such will start to become an issue... simply because more people are using them. perhaps that makes some sense, idunno.
pc - used a lot mac - not used a lot (until now)

No doubt. However, Macs are severely overpriced.
If they were about 30% cheaper I'd probably get one.
For the mean time I'll stick with annually backing up and formatting my Windows laptop :)
Re: What antivirus do you use?
Wow, well didn't that analyst state the obvious. Point is it is penetrating the market and the more they do the more they will be seen to be a target. Simple as.
Re: What antivirus do you use?
98% apple users look like cocks. period.
Re: What antivirus do you use?
^^ it's an apple cult :)
Re: What antivirus do you use?
AVG Free is pissing me off. It keeps doing some lame crap about every month and prompting me to keep rebooting my PC to complete the install or maybe a virus def upgrade. Super lame, need to look for something else free that doesn't use a crapload of resources.
Re: What antivirus do you use?
Well I always use the avast anti virus.I never the change the anti virus for the my computer. It is best for me.
Re: What antivirus do you use?
