Re: 3TB internals on the way
Hell yeah! Couple of these in a Drobo would do the trick :)
Re: 3TB internals on the way

Re: 3TB internals on the way
right on bro. picked up 1 tb not too long ago for dirt cheap; love how much lower the prices for space are nowadays.
Re: 3TB internals on the way
With price of space these days am seriously considering some kind of huge NAS type thing for backup/media.
Re: 3TB internals on the way
i stopped by Wester Digital's HQ the other day and discussed my warranty options and other matters. some day i want to make a rather expensive investment in SCSI to become the arbiter of all my drives.

Re: 3TB internals on the way
I just bought a 2TB internal, got it in the mail yesterday. Plugged it into my system today along with a new PCI SATA controller, shut my case, and snapped the plastic piece from the SATA serial pin right off the fn drive. :MadNow: The metal pins are still there, so I think it might be ok...
I ended up having to get out my dremel and tin snips to cut out a large portion of metal from this fn computer. I think the drive is still usable, but it looks like this drive will forever be paired with this cable that still has the plastic inside!
Re: 3TB internals on the way
^^^ Ouch
That's why my next computer will have front-loading hot-swap bays ;)
