Shot in the dark.... Anyone with knowledge of setting up a server? I don't want a mass of PMs, I'm merely fishing for information at this time, and I'm looking for someone that would have the knowledge of a complete setup, mods, maps, etc. Linux environment only (I'm not talking about a gui version of linux either, this is command line stuff).

I'll want to discuss everything from potential server loads per seat, to bandwidth and storage impacts.

Feel free to shoot me an email if you can help.

Ok, nobody get their hopes up yet. CS Source is being installed as I type. There is a lot of testing to do before it's done. I wouldn't expect any results any time soon but it's in the works.

That said, any expierenced CS server admins might think about watching this thread for openings.

BTW...like audiotherapy said in the other thread [b][size=6]GET X-FIRE[/size][/b], friends is the biggest piece of shit. I think this might solve our problem.

I have, everything seems to be a go. Played a couple rounds with The Pariah and 3dx. It crashed right as I was leaving so don't know what was up, besides that it's running fine.

The server didn't crash. I think that was just your client. In fact you were just standing there in the middle of the map with the hostages.. and I just didn't have any other way to end the round then stand right behind you and shoot you in the back of the head :lol:

yessir that was you. I was already slaughtered by Pariah and was following you. You just stopped and stood there for a while.

It seems to be running fine, but not had more than 3 people in there at one time to give it a real run for it's money...

By the way, the server will be coming down at 8pm MST if we don't give it a full test today. I'll bring it back up tomorrow (Sunday) morning again to try to give it a good run.

Played with 3dx some more and everything is good. Bots are still hit or miss (literally) but it's better than playing 2 on 2. Or 1 on 2 in some cases, right guys. :wink:

Everybody who is going to play needs to make it on there sometime this weekend so we can see how it runs with alot of people on it. So everyone doing homework, working or chillin' with the girl...stop. Just kidding, try to make it on though.
