You may have read that I was. Well I finally got off my arse and looked for a replacement to manage my ipod ! Found one, and it's great. I have a mac but, this works on all platforms. It really does everything I want !! Took me minutes to set up, after I read the instructions

I can now drag and drop to my ipod and copy stuff back to my computer. Player works well. I like to load stuff onto my ipod to try out on my daily walks. If I don't like it it is really easy to just delete with this. This was a pain in the arse to do with itunes. All that waiting for it to load everything I don't want, and my whole music collection.!! Works well with 2 ipods:D

I am very happy actually :D I have donated already
saw the screenshots, that interface looks crowded
Those screenshots are actually for Tuneup I think. Which really is a replacement for iTunes. and not free.

This is what I wanted, Really simple and free! :D And I choose what I want to show. :)

Re: Sick of iTunes ??

Foobar2000 all the way. Takes some time to set up well and has quirks, but will not use anything else tbh. Well written so works fine with wine on non Windows platforms.

Edit: also, I'd rather amputate my ears than have to use iTunes for my music

You obviously haven't been reading my posts

To everyone who is happy with iTunes I wish you well!! For me it turned into a bloated monster. A "do you want fries with that? " app  Except it gave me no choice :(

Re: Sick of iTunes ??

itunes and quicken are horrid; they really should have kept that bundled crap exclusive only to apple systems --- just like(dissimilar) it wasn't possible to play most (almost all) computer games on a mac in the 90s. derp derp

Re: Sick of iTunes ??

itunes is fine... i just find it annoying after every update they add a bunch of useless shit that i have to go through preferences and remove. other than that, its fine with me.

Apple is getting too much like Microsoft nowadays... bloated software... not a good thing.

Re: Sick of iTunes ??

I had something else too before but the name escapes me...

Even though I manually work the music side on my iPhone, iTunes has got somewhat better now into v10...still don't 100% care for it, but it's better :)

^^^^:CrackUp::CrackUp::CrackUp::CrackUp: That was at the link Feather put up !
which leads him to call it "the Leaning Tower of Ping". "Adding a social-networking interface, on top of all of iTunes' other functions," he says, "is like grafting another limb to the forehead of an octopus. It's just too much." Re: Sick of iTunes ??

I kinda just use it to put music into my ipod and to play music over airtunes.

BTW DD have you used Cog? It's a no frills music player like foobar, you'll probably like it. Also plays more formats.
