Hey Guys,
I'd like to rip some of my Bluray movies to my itouch.
What program will work best and what format? I don't care to much about the file size as I do about the quality.

Re: BluRay Rips
I can't say much but I think HandBrake has an option to rip to itouch/ipad/etc format, you might try this:

Re: BluRay Rips
handbrake sadly doesnt support Bluray, and they say it will not ever be supported, its sad because its such a good program.
i googled and came up with this program http://makemkv.com/
hope it helps
also remember that better quality = bigger size

doh :(
Re: BluRay Rips
speaking of blu-ray, are there good torrent sites out there that have quality blu-ray rips? seems i keep finding hit-or-miss movies that are ripped. Additionally, I think we should start a thread devoted solely to blu-ray movies and rating them so we can determine whether or not they're worth purchasing as a blu-ray or just finding a hd rip online.

Agreed! I haven't really figured out which movies are true blu-ray and which are not, so not sure what's worth purchasing. For example what are the actually specs that I should be looking for on the back of the disc.
As far as torrents, this is not the place to discuss so I'll leave it at that.
Going back to my original post, ripping my blu-ray disc seems quite the challenge at the moment...

So basically I need to figure out an average middle ground without compromising on quality but not a space hog either. Hence the challenge.
