OK so I have TB3.1.1 / Lightning v1b2 on my PC and want to have my laptop sync up with that (also using TB/Lightning) so I can use either and changes will reflect on both. Anyone know how I go about this?

Thunderbird/Lightning sync question
Re: Thunderbird/Lightning sync question
I have my PC dual-boot with Ubuntu and Windows, and I pointed both configs to the same data files on an external drive which both OS'es are able to connect to. Regardless of the OS I boot to, I have the same email data store, address book, and general settings. You may want to investigate storing everything on a master drive and having the two sync to it.

Re: Thunderbird/Lightning sync question
Cheers. Think the main problem with that is when I'm on the move my laptop won't have access to that drive. Although I could expand that idea and use Windows Home Server.

How about mapping your OS to somewhere in the cloud (dropbox/G-Drive) or similar and storing it there?

Re: Thunderbird/Lightning sync question
I've now set up Thunderbird's calendar on both my laptop and PC to read from Google Calendar using this handy little plug-in: https://addons.mozilla.org/af/thunderbird/addon/4631/ As long as that can update my calendar from Thunderbird/Lightning then it's all good. Mail wise I have my own server so might just carry on with IMAP on the Laptop and POP3 on the PC.
