My best friend has decided to pursue a career as a musician and fortunately for him has a friend with a studio where he's able to produce and record some great stuff... However he wants to pursue side projects as well without over-extending his welcome at his friends studio.

What's the best way to go about recording music using a mac. Vocals and guitar.

Thanks for the help,

Read the production section of the site. It'll help him (you) with lots of information.

Logic Pro or ProTools will do the job bro.

Thanks guys, he played in front of a crowd of 3,000 people last night... it's a long story how he got the gig, but it enabled him to hand his demo to EMI... needless to say we're excited about it all.

Re: Recording with a Mac

i'd stay as far away from a major label as I can get. and if he's got a demo already, why does he need to know about recording on a mac?

Re: Recording with a Mac

So he can work on side projects without taking up valuable studio time (See original post)

He'll use logic btw.
