Yeah one of those 'so-obvious-why didn't-I-think-of-it' ideas.

Re: It's here folks...

fuck, i want one so bad. time to replace my 2G

AT&T has an agreement with apple not to unlock these things? fucking stupid.

i wanted to buy one, then move out of the country and be released from my contract/have them unlock the phone. it worked in France, but looks impossible in the US:evil:

Re: It's here folks...

Apple is selling them unlocked on Apple stores in certain countries ... luckily Singapore is gonna be one of them :D .. if i didn't misread it somewhere Canada should be one of them countries too so its time for Americans to be nice to Canadians for once ;)

I upgraded on my iphone 3g (not the 3gSSSSS) and it is noticeably slower.. does have some nice features but bleh... I am now contemplating on going back to verizon and getting a blackberry cuz i cant really justify the monthly bill anymore.

Its like that atm, however developers in other OS's can make apps to communicate with facetime.

Would like that Skype also launches a version that allows videochat between computers/iphones.

I still cant accept the fact of paying 200+$ (almost double in my country) for a phone that can break or be stolen. Id rather have a piece of plastic that doesnt break and its not much of a loss if stolen.

if you think ATT bill is high, wait till Verizon's monthly $44 data plan greets your wallet (at least until when I was with them and they've lowered the rates now)

Motherfuckers ...

1. Keep all of the positioning statements in the BN handy – your tone when delivering this information is important. a. The iPhone 4’s wireless performance is the best we have ever shipped. Our testing shows that iPhone 4’s overall antenna performance is better than iPhone 3GS. b. Gripping almost any mobile phone in certain places will reduce its reception. This is true of the iPhone 4, the iPhone 3GS, and many other phones we have tested. It is a fact of life in the wireless world. c. If you are experiencing this on your iPhone 3GS, avoid covering the bottom-right side with your hand. d. If you are experiencing this on your iPhone 4, avoid covering the black strip in the lower-left corner of the metal band. e. The use of a case or Bumper that is made out of rubber or plastic may improve wireless performance by keeping your hand from directly covering these areas. 2. Do not perform warranty service. Use the positioning above for any customer questions or concerns. 3. Don’t forget YOU STILL NEED to probe and troubleshoot. If a customer calls about their reception while the phone is sitting on a table (not being held) it is not the metal band. 4. ONLY escalate if the issue exists when the phone is not held AND you cannot resolve it. 5. We ARE NOT appeasing customers with free bumpers – DON’T promise a free bumper to customers.

Re: It's here folks...

SO APPARENTLY now the signal strength issue is just a software issue where its showing 4-5 bars when it should be 2-3 bars... etc.

Re: It's here folks...

this phone pushed my wife over the edge, she's getting an iphone in the next couple days, which means inevitably I'll be getting an iphone in the near future...the data plan sounds reasonable as well 450 mins + 5 people she can call unlimited + 200 text messages per month for $64.

Can anyone tell me if that includes unlimited use of the internet?

i'd hold on for a bit. something tells me it's more than a software issue. that's prob an excuse and they'll try to cover it up with some code. make the bar stable rather than losing bars...thats what i would do. lol

Re: It's here folks...

With 3 million new users the data plans are sure to increase in price via At&t and Verizon... the iphones are too data intensive for the networks to handle. We'll just have to wait and see. I don't have an iphone, my wife is just about to get one though...

(i <3 my itouch though)

Re: It's here folks...

I cant wait for the next gen iTouch. Its going to be more powerful, will have multi-touch capabilities, will have at least a 5 megapixel camera and the yummy new screen. SOOO worth it as a toy.
