Re: The Hackintosh

Been wondering about it as I have an Asus P5W DH Deluxe mobo with I believe works with MacOS. Tho quite happy with Windows 7 and most things I want to do and can do on Windows. So not really tried it yet.

Re: The Hackintosh

Apparently it works pretty well on a £150 dell mini. So much for the apple premium :)

Re: The Hackintosh

^^ it depends what you mean with "very well"

Actually it doesnt, there are only a few computers/hardware-setups that can handle it very well.

The installation is a PITA, have fun hehe.

Re: The Hackintosh

theres PC prepared install disk look up ideneb or iatkos

yeah its PITA, i was able to get 10.5.8 installed on my pc and laptop. not all drivers are supported, if your driver doesnt work, you have to format and reinstall the whole OS. took me 10 installs to get quartz enabled for my graphics card, not fun

Make sure that its the Dell Mini 10v, that shouldn't run you into too many issues.

Re: The Hackintosh

been wanting to try this for a while but never got around to it. In the first video, why does he burn the img (presumable an img of OSX) and then later on put an authentic OS-X disc? what am I missing with that?

Thats called a boot 123 cd, it has the drivers on it that let you install OSX . You only need this CD if your doing a Vanilla install. If you going with ideneb o itakos you don´t need it.
