I have an iso file -that is audi and video DVD rip - I have checked the sfv and its fine.

I usually use vlc to play iso - but it wont open it at all. kmplayer will play it partially - you cant skip to other chapters and the audio,visual goes out of sync. you dont see a menue to begin with. (interesting that window media! played the menu perfectly but not anything else)

is there another way to check the file and / or another player I could try?

extract the contents using winrar and try to play it

Mount it as a virtual drive then extract the video with dvddecrypter?

my all time fav movie player is mplayer:

i had already tried that one prior to posting - think I might be screwed (at least I have time till mount and rip - ahem!!!!)

check kmplayer - it rocks even more than mplayer

is this a nice frontend for mplayer? I need a decent one and have found something not bad for windows, i usually always just use mplayer on linux and use the commandline. I just like it so much b/c it supports EVERYTHING.

I use mplayer (as smplayer) for pretty much everything, rarely trips up.

Anything that needs special attention gets xine, but afaik that is linux only.

Install Daemon tools, mount your iso and play it directly as if you had the original inside your dvd. VLC sometimes block when playing directly an iso, but it will have no prob to play it from the mounted one. That worked for me.

mounting was easier than i expected :)

and worked perfickt afterwards

I will need to check out all these others players. VLC has been great so far for me.
