The new Zune's look wicked. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with prior Zunes and if anyone has any comparison comments between the Microsoft's baby vs. Apple iPod / Touch. (I'm probably not going to get into the app store as much so the apps for the Touch will be of little to no use for me)

The Zune does look very cool Away from the apple / microsoft debate i'd recommend [URL="http://local.iriver.com/usa/"]these[/URL] as mine has served me very well indeed.

I used the orignal zune and much prefer my ipod classic 120 gb. Depends on the storage capacity you want though, i see the new zunes go up to 32gb (which is still a shit load of tuneage) but do have the extra features such as the wifi etc.

storage is my biggest requirement (I had Jib's entire archive on my iPod until it got knicked). After I posted my posts above, I realized the zune is only 32 gb, which is probably why I'm going to dive into the new classic ipod 160 gb. I wish at the very least, they could've slapped wifi into the device. A hybrid classic ipod / itouch would be absolute balls.

Yeah a hybrid would kick ass. Can you still get the 160 gb's? I heard they were discontinued as they were really clunky and clicky to use when selecting tracks?

Would love one of these, b/c the relatively small storage of the touch is the main thing holding it back, IMO. I have the 32, which was the biggest I could get at the time, and I'm constantly having to cycle music on and off of it. 64 won't hold my whole library, either, but I could at least keep more of the core stuff on there...

Apart from this annoyance, however, I could not be more in love with my iPod touch. Revolutionary device, for sure.

I have the 1st gen 8gb touch and I love it. Naturally if storage is important you wanna get the classic. However you could hack the hind legs off the touch so thats a biggie for me.

great man, I got a nice acrylic case from amazon as well. the extra 80 gb space is such a relief, I've been tanking it up with movies as well lol

i have an old zune and it does NOT compare with the ipod. its difficult to manage your music. navigation on the zune itself sucks. unless these have been changed i wouldn't buy the zune.
