Anybody know how to convert an iTunes podcast itms feed to the standard rss xml format? I know I can replace the itms with http:// to see the xml, but it's not in the standard rss format...

for example, here's the [URL]http://www.datatransmission.co.uk[/URL] itunes podcast feed:

itms://ax.itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=283302878&ign-mscache=1

well I can't find anything so I'm going to try to create a converter myself with php. I don't know PHP yet but it can't be that hard :lol:

I'm able to generate the standard RSS wrapper from an iTunes feed! It's not parsing any of the articles yet, but I'm able to pull the necessary info to create a feed that validates.

I'm starting to think nobody cares but me since I'm the only one talking in here :lol:

Let's call this beta v0.1.

Fully functional! You can prepend [url]http://picklemonkey.net/flipper/convert.php?feed=[/url] to the beginning of any iTunes podcast feed into your RSS reader and it will automatically convert the iTunes feed into an RSS 2.0 standard feed.

I have tested on 5 different iTunes feeds and all work so far:

For the EG Podcasts I use
