ok my western digital is making some funky noises (truuu ki truu ki) kinda :P windows cant read it and neither bios

does that means that i lost all my data on it? or can i recover with some program or something? damn all my music is thereeeee jesus christ im about to explode and destroy it just to calm my rage....

argh i had it on a enclousure USB as an external driver....but it doesnt read it i also try to conect it directly to my computer and also is making weird sounds

does it cost that much to repair it?

just keep it and try to recover all you can and get a fresh one when you can imo.

not sure really, it does the sound like 4 to 6 times, triak triak triak triak and then it doesnt sound, so i put my ear closely so when i turn it on it sound like is about to start then the sound come along then like when it is shuting down the hard drive like weeeiiiiiiiii i should record the noises insted of making my own :P

im thinking on buying an external harddrive of 1tb can you point me to one?

i want some quiality on it since i was using an enclouse im afraid that the enclousure had the fault of my hdd to crash

i have an older 500gb western digital external hd that i had to send to the clean room to retrive the data... it cost a grip to do too.

try always to keep them still, and away from other shit that may fall on em, lol. one of my speakers had fallen on my hd (while it was on) and crushed the internal mechanisms and disk arm pretty bad, it was such a bust. now i keep the damn wd in this small lock-safe thing i rigged up. i also keep my 2tb wd worldbook in it as well; but i've had enough trouble with western digital that i'll never invest in their crap ever again. just picked up a maxtor 1tb internal sata from that seagate clearance for 79 bucks, so i'm stoked.

sucks bro, but harddrives dont provide much reliability. they tend to fail a LOT, specially the desktop and external HD since the lower quality of the disks. The only way to be safe is to do backups every now and then.

Also there are plenty data recovery programs that could save all or some of your data depending on how bad is the problem. Good luck

i tried getdataback but since the hdd aint showing on windows neither bios i cant recover shit..

just found a friend of a friend who fix hdd going to give my hdd to him to check if he can recover all my stuff on there
