Re: Are you a torrent fiend?

I use the collectorz Movie collector app and I like it a lot. Of course I dont use many of the advanced features like setting it up for use with a HTPC. I just use it to catalog and keep track the DVD locations.

I havent tried any of the others.

Re: Are you a torrent fiend?

Bah.

If you are a Windows user, go with Vista media center + Mediascout + Sam's MediaBrowser + secondrun.tv

Trust me on this one, I use this combo, and have 400 full DVDs, 50 or so Bluray rips, and over 90 seasons of various TV shows at the touch of a button. 7TB of easy browsing.

Oh yeah. All completely free.

Re: Are you a torrent fiend?

Hmmm, good idea but I can keep track of most of my movies. The problem I have is with the numerous music sets I download.

Off topic, but I just switched to Clearwire and it sucks balls. They advertise 1.5 mbps and with www.speedtest.com it surpasses that. However, with all the p2p services I have tried it seems they limit bandwith almost to undowloadable speeds. I have tried quite a bit of things and the only success I have had is using Utorrent and enabling protocol encryption. I don't even know what that means, but it has boosted my download speed up about to 30 kbps instead of 3 kbps... Pretty lame I can't download jack anymore. Any of you Internet genius have any suggestions? Soulseek won't connect anymore and I have port forwarded it. Vuze is unusable and the number of seeders Utorrent finds is about a quarter of what demonoid, mininova, piratebay and so on states. I need my torrents... I hate to say it, but I miss comcast.

Re: Are you a torrent fiend?

TBH I don't catalog or keep anything ... everything's so accessible these days. I make room with a spring cleaning when I'm out of space, and re-get old movies if I want to watch them again.

I will need to look into this option... I want to categorize all my movies, tv shows etc, but every time I start... I miserably fail as it gets too cumbersome...
