Can't install these cos they only run on super old OS systems. lol.

-Civilization 2 -Sim City 2000 -Sim Tower -Age of Empires 1 -Command and Conquer -Caesar 1 2 and 3 -Pharoah

Meh, Halo wars pales in comparison to a good RTS on a PC. It's a decent attempt at dumbing down the controls for a console though.

Re: Reinstalling old strategy games

Never forgotten Panzer General 2 that game rules so hard....

Above mentioned RTS games hurt my eyes now, so static graphic is cool.

GetAchievments: I like your user-name brah... Xbox live is the goods. I had to discontinue my Xbox live account for awhile though... fuck. ...used play Halo 3 on it so much. Never actually got around to checking out Halo Wars, but it sounds like a good idea.

Thanks for those links fellas, I'm definitely going to check 'em out, to see if that helps my dilemma. Been really nostalgic as of late, and hadn't played many of those said RTS games in forever. The Starcraft days where nuts alright, but I've decided to just wait for Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3 to be released. It's been pretty fun playing some of these again.

Re: Reinstalling old strategy games

I would not call Diablo 1 + 2 a strategy Game but alone thinking about the endless hours I have spent with part 1 and 2 puts a smile on my face. Cow level ftw! :)

Re: Reinstalling old strategy games

You might want to give Dune 2000 a try or Castles 2 Siege and Conquest. They still run but require dos.

Re: Reinstalling old strategy games

wish i had dune and castles still. damn. i'm under the impression that some old games are download-able now right? is it safe? also how would i go about installing them without the hard components?

nice. i've actually been playing civ4 beyond the sword a bit lately, does anyone have the warlords expansion set to civ 4? was considering picking that up. i just rolled as the carthaginians, in a custom game and chose the romans as one of the opponets... hehe, should be a fun game.

Nice, I dloaded these the other day as well. I've been teaching my 11 year old brother how to play SC4. It's a classic and awesome game. Dloaded D2 and the expansion but got bored after a little bit.

Can't install these cos they only run on super old OS systems. lol.

Ahhh the good old days. Sim Tower was awesome as was the original CC and Red Alert. Caeser was cool also but i think the Total War series kind of warped it.

the only problem with these games is that you lost the ability to recognize the graphics featured in them.

I gave a go at Dune, first part, remember flying around in that bloody ornithopter, but sadly playing it doesnt give the satisfaction which i expected and remembered, not to mention the PC speaker banging.

We are spoiled with today's hi-def graphics, ultra big plots, etc.

Very true. I think we all have certain child hood games we love no matter how much they suck.
