Is anyone else having problems with Firefox recently ? Everytime I try to access certain web sites all I get is a crash warning. Apparently it is a problem with IE. Is there any way I can delete IE, I have tried allsorts and nothing works. :(

Re: Firefox crashing

How do you know it's a problem with IE? Have you tried disabling all your extensions?

Re: Firefox crashing

When it crashed I got the standard error reporting box. I sent the report and got a reply from Microsoft telling me it was their program causing the problem. They didnt tell me how to fix it though.

Re: Firefox crashing

I have the same problem with Firefox but I doubt it's related to the IE coz it dosen't seem logic.

Unless he is running an FF extension called IETab that uses the IE engine to render some pages in Firefox, or he uses any other extension that interacts with Windows or IE at some level ... too many variables.

Easy thing to do is to disable all extensions, then enabling each one to see if there're any conflicts. If that fails, try running FF with a new profile.

Re: Firefox crashing

I'm having the same problem. I'm having a hard time understanding though what is causing this. Is it malicious code on websites, or is it malware that's made it's way on my machine? Would love to know of a way to fix this other than being forced to use IE. :(
