I'm trying to justify spending $350 on these. Listened to them in the Apple store today. Plugged them into my phone and put on Boratto & Eyerer - The Island. Fucking sounded like two subwoofers on my head. No joke, vibrations and everything.

I listened to the Bose over-the-ear and on-the-ear along with the QC2 & QC3 headphones, and they didn't compare bass wise, not even close. The QC phones are quite nice, have great sound quality and are a little less expensive, but for the difference between the two, the beats are worth the extra money in my opinion.

They are a little clunky, and i hate the color red, but...

Anybody listened to these, any opinions?

Re: Dr Dre Beats Headphones

Looks like I should try those out. The only thing is, I like for them to work with my phone, which the Beats and the Bose phones do. I agree with the reviews about the Beats though, way overpriced because a name got slapped on them.

Re: Dr Dre Beats Headphones

Monster is an "evil" company in the respect that they charge way too much for stuff. Having to put batteries in your headphones? C'mon. That's some bullshit right there.

Re: Dr Dre Beats Headphones

Anything with the name DR. Dre should never have the term Hi Definition with it. And Beanz is right. Monster is a big rip off company.

"but if your street cred is sitting at rock bottom, you may have no other choice. Thug life, fool."

That is awesome. It says it all about these cans.

Re: Dr Dre Beats Headphones

Well I meant I'd like to have the mic on the cord so I can answer phone calls without hving to take off the headphones. I've got the 1st gen iPhone and of course it's got and indentation around the jack so most headphones won't plug in without a converter.

Re: Dr Dre Beats Headphones

I listen to them at Best Buy and I hate the way they sound. I think these dre headphones suck. I would rather have some Bose headphones.

So are you saying that you completely want to shut out the rest of the world all the time. By wearing headphones all the time and having a mic hooked up to it so you never have to take them off?;)

No bro. I'm not that dude. Wouldn't probably wear them much outside the house. It would just be convenient.

Re: Dr Dre Beats Headphones

so what have you decided. I tell ya bro, if you want REALLY good headphones for not much $$, get the Ultrasone HFI-450. Got mine for $100 and wouldn't trade them for a paid of headphones that cost twice as much.
