Have been using Pidgin ever since I first ran into it on Ubuntu and only recently discovered it's multi-platform as well. Now I use it on my windows too and I just love the thing

I haven't tried google but considering multiple MSN accounts work (I am using mine) no reason to believe google wont.

yea Pidgin is total quality. i use it on windows machines primarily. on my macs i use ichat :)
