Anyone give this a whirl yet? If you liked Oblivoin, Bethesda has outdone themselves with Fallout 3.

how's farcry 2 ? I've often considered purchasing it but I remember how the end of the original PC version of facry got under my skin. the outdoorsy gameplay was the best part of farcry 1 imo

Re: Fallout3

I started playing Fallout 3 last week..hell of a monster Game and it will surely keep me busy till Spring next Year lol. I loved Fallout 1 and 2 and the new episode is bringing old memories back. Gotta love the complex quests where you can also make "bad" decisions to your disadvantage. Everybody who nuked Megaton very early will know what I mean lol.

I rented both Fallout and Farcry together...Farcry has seen less than 10 minutes of play time and won't be seeing any more as far as I am concerned. Nothing new or innovative from what I saw (granted that was only 10 min, but if there is nothing to grab your attention in 10 min, unlikely there will be after 10 hours).

Re: Fallout3

^ ^ I've heard that from a lot of people about Farcry 2. Serious disappointment there and shoddy gameplay. I steered away. Off topic but I'm enjoying Tomb Raider: Underworld. :p

Re: Fallout3

Fallout 3 is a great game, you really get into the world and the character while playing. Some times combat may seem repepetitive but its a game you will leave and get back to over time. The physics and graphics of the game feel like a fusion between half life 2 and oblivion.

Re: Fallout3

Got Fallout 3 for Xmas.....................majorly disappointed. It is just way too slow at the start for me. I have been walking around Megaton for ages and nothing ever seems to happen. I don't like the way that you talk to people either - very boring and repetitive. Ive cut my losses and flogged it on eBay
