Hi guys,

can someone please direct me to a program that can record streaming audio? I have an on-demand membership @ proton radio and I want to be able to listen to some of the sets on there in my car (as I am going to be doin about 4 hours of driving over the weekend), however the way proton streams makes it hard to save the mp3's.

can someone plz give me a bit of direction. of course this is all just for personal use so if any proton guys read this... dont stress! i wont upload any of it!

i used to use totalrecorder from highcriteria when i had a pc. it's been awhile tho, so not sure what peeps are using today.

stream ripper.. google that, there are loads of freeware for this

only if you're running bootcamp/parallels, which is becoming useless imo.

nope, by definition, a PC = personal computer. AND with macs going intel, they're as PC as you can get. Windows is not a PC, its an OS, like OSX is. So what you're on, is in fact a PC :p

i could never get stream ripper to work... i did do a search on google and have tried numerous programs but none of them seem to work easily.

does anyone else have experience ripping proton radio and if so, what do they use to rip it?

Replay AV works good. A bit complicated but works well on a pc.

I use streamripper and if I need to fine tune something I'll use Roxio RecordNow9 Music Lab.

best program i've found is Replay Music

its a pay program, but if you're smart you find ways around that.
