in other words it could help improve picture quality and upscale video output so that it fits for HD viewing but it won't be nearly as good as real 1080p, because in fact it isn't real 1080p. almost all newer DVD's have some sort of upscaling feature... Even the 360 is capable of upscaling standard DVD's,

I'd just buy a blu-ray player if I were you. that way you'll be able to experience FULL HD movies. and real 1080p resolution and sound.

Just about every DVD player out in the market these days will upcovert. Stay away from the no-namers though. As for the Xbox 360 upconverting DVDs, it's been rated as one of the worst in the market. You can get a $30 Phillips that will do a much better job.

-Assasins Creed 2 and Mass Effect 2 will be announced as exclusive tittles for the Xbox360 on September 25th. -Did I mention that Fallout 3 won't have DLC on PS3 and neither trophies? well there it goes...another company that doesn't give a shit for the PS3..congrats Bethesda software.

I would not watch a DVD through the Xbox360. I will not trust what I've seen on online sites such as ign or Gametrailers as the output online is horrid. They should get better capture media.

The GPU in the 360 is MARGINALLY better than the one in the PS3. However, the PS3 has 6 cores available to developers for gaming. Compare that with the maxium of 3 cores on the XBox and you've got some seriously heavy number crunching artillery there.

Almost every major developer has had so far only complaints on the stupid architechture its like sony was so arrogant they thought no one would ever port games to another console by programming on their stupid architechture but at the end of the day devs found out, it costs a shit load of money to make games for that piece of shit.

have you ever played The Orange Box on PS3? its a pain to watch that really...almost every multiplatform game runs better on xbox 360 because of the AA capabilities on its GPU.

Cell is a failure, only Kojima bothered to fully use it, and the game still requires painful 10 minute installations, and only 20 minutes of gameplay.

using beenz theory my eyes have told me millions of times that all major games look better on the xbox360 google it! we might as well end sony's bullshit now.
