For some reason firefox is blocking any website that i need to log into ie:gmail. Comes up with an error which looks like it is blocking port 443. I can still get into sites where it has saved my log in details. Tried uninstall and reinstall but to no avail and it also works fine in IE. Any ideas?

Re: Firefox 3 problem

Did you reinstall with a new profile? Try running FF3 with a clean profile.

Re: Firefox 3 problem

Worked a treat. Also for anyone else i used an extension called FEBE to backup all my bookmarks and shortcuts, passwords etc-Easy to backup and restore, very handy extension.

Re: Firefox 3 problem

Did you find out what was wrong? Was it an extension or some custom setting you did?

Re: Firefox 3 problem

I added the extensions and themes back in earlier and it is one of them it seems as the problem has come back. Just gotta try and figure out which one now.

Re: Firefox 3 problem

I noticed when I X out of FF and I go to restart FF I get a message saying its already open and that I have to close out or restart my system.

Re: Firefox 3 problem

If you look in the task manager there will probably be the firefox.exe process still running, kill that and that should sort it.
