Wifi issues

Since last night my macbook is having issues keeping a wifi connection at home.

It connects, then disconnects, then connects, then disconnects. Sometimes it stays on for a few minutes and this morning I had no trouble dicking around online for 2 hours or so.

The issue happens no matter where I am in the house - on the terrace, in my room, right next to the router. And it's not happening with the other computers in the house.

If I open Internet Connect I can watch the connection come and go. Checked to see if there was a software update I needed to do, but there's nothing. Haven't installed any new phones or electric gadgets either.

Any ideas?

Re: Wifi issues

Not sure this is what is happening to but I had one of my routers go bad and it was dirtying up the signal for all the other devices. Any chance you have a radio based device going bad (router, wireless phone, etc)? The other thing I would recommend is doing a site survey and moving to a channel no one is on (you should be able to do this from the router).

Re: Wifi issues

i think it's either the wifi box or all the electronic shit that we have in the house. i don't have any problems on other networks. dunno if it's radio, i'll have to dick around with it when i get home. cheers
