This is one bad ass browser. So quick on this board and in general on the net. I am at least 3 to 4 times faster then the previous version.

Apple. I love you.

PS. It was just released today if want the update. 8)

i might have to check it out. is it anymore like the firefox...with the tabs and all that good add ons? I didn't really care for the last version. Gonna take a lot to drag me away from FF.

Yeah ... better than FF? Does Safari have plugins as well? Never really touched Safari, though I hear it works with multi-touch but not FF.

Never liked safari, I tried the 3.0 safari version but it just kept crashing on me, so my question is:

Did they manage to make a stable browser this time?

gonna make the full switch to apple in the coming months...

going to get rid of my PC desktop and pick up an imac once the new updates are in, which should be coming soon according to some rumors.

i knew it had tabs Mike. But I like how in FF you get the little pics beside the names of your tabs and other little things like that. Plus I can't find the plugin in Safari like I can in FF that let's me download any Flash Film online to my HD.

I use FF because of the extensions. There's a pretty mature developer base for it. If Safari or Opera can use FF extensions, that'd be gold.

I am so pissed off with the latest safari . I have always been really happy. But this latest is awful!! It crashes all the time, it's absolutely useless if you do anything on ebay, it can't read the pages, Tabs used to be a simple middle click, now i have to hold down one key and click. Makes it really difficult to eat at the same time!! I've had Firefox for a while and always check out updates to see which is best. It's now my default.

And as I said It just doesn't work with Ebay, keep getting "cannot open this page" I go to firefox and bingo! no problem!! And quite frankly I'm finding , for the first time, that Firefox is faster!! Are they deliberately making it shit so all the pc people will feel at home?? :)

I'm not particularly thrilled with Leopard either. The way spotlight works now sucks.! I'm finding things in my computer that spotlight doesn't?? They still haven't fixed the repair permissions problem, it takes literally hours to do!!
