Re: New HD
I see 750s going for 140-170 and 1tbs about twice that.
Re: New HD
Fry's has a 750 right now for $150 and I saw somewhere a 1TB for $219
Re: New HD
considering this one

any opinions about it ?
Re: New HD
Good drive that one. However, I'd be after the one with Firewire rather than USB.
Re: New HD
sadly the store I'm about to get it from dont carry the FW version (if there is one)
Re: New HD
Make sure it's not the green box edition. That one's known to go bad quick due to heat issues. All other chains have clearanced them out but Circuit City are assholes and will charge full price for a discontinued product.
Re: New HD
those were killer prices too on the clearances...just rip it out of the case and pop it inside w/a cooler instead...
Re: New HD
finally ended up picking up a WD external 750 GB HD from staples on clearance for $99. Even though its only USB 2.0, I couldn't pass up the value of the deal....
Re: New HD
Kick ass deal.
Re: New HD
Not as good of a deal but you can get a Spinpoint F1 series 750GB internal HDD for $112.99 at zipzoomfly. Sweet hard drive, very quiet and generates about half the heat of most other drives.
