Re: Assasin's Creed!!!

Good to see. I am about redo my system and go with Vista 64bit with 8gb to help with this. Will have to wait for newer video cards to come out though. I don't wanna run two video cards and three is never going to happen. Hellgate london easily ate up over a gig of my current two which is what initially prompted my upgrade

Re: Assasin's Creed!!!

You'll be fine with 4gb (at least ddr2-800mhz)!

Re: Assasin's Creed!!!

I'm thinking of going 64bit Vista as well. Can I get a list of any cons from people? Software incompatiblity of stuff you really loved but can no longer use?

Re: Assasin's Creed!!!

i liked it a lot first. But after a couple of hours it became all repetitive and boring. (xbox360 btw.)

Re: Assasin's Creed!!!

I've pondering getting a 64bit Windows (either XP or Vista - probably be Vista tho) for a while. Anyone know where I can get a trial copy or something?

beaner.... thats the only drawback about it..... in addition to the general incompatability that vista users have faced with hardware etc. .... 64 bit ups the ante with software incompatibilities and no 16 bit software (didnt know there were still any out there) will not work on vista 64 bit.

SP1 should take care of the 4 gb issues for 32bit though.

Re: Assasin's Creed!!!

so its settled, no purchase for me

Re: Assasin's Creed!!!

I'd agree. Just rent it. You'll be sick of it after two days. If you haven't already played it, a game worth buying is probably Mass Effect. I'm also enjoying the Orange Box quite a bit as it has loads of content. Or just wait three weeks and get GTAIV.

Re: Assasin's Creed!!!

I just played and finished COD4. Its only worth the first play because there's only so many ways you can take out the enemy in the same surrounding. Good game, great graphics and game play, incredible scenery and situations that they drop you into. I really enjoyed it.

Re: Assasin's Creed!!!

its not a bad game it just wasnt as innovative as we were all hoping, its still worth a play

Re: Assasin's Creed!!!

i am playing it for a week now, its cool, but i have to set the lowest level of detail, otherwise my PC starts fakin'.

4th memory block really gets you to think what are you doing, and bloody oversensitive guards are everywhere.

Re: Assasin's Creed!!!

Assassins Creed is good for the graphics....that is about it. After a while it does get repetitive. I'm one of those people that wants to beat every game they purchase though, despite being the same shit, I beat it. It's got a decent story line to it.

As for the Vista stuff, I'd personally go with XP 64 bit. I've played with Vista from time to time and it just annoys the shit out of me. That could be because I'm always on the home edition, and on another persons computer.

i beg your pardon, using others computers :?: hehe

what do you do with them, or even better, why would you want to do that?
