Favorites in IE7 dissapeared

I have Vista and IE7. I can't see my favorites. Although if I export, they are all listed. Anyone know how to fix this?

favorites on vista are usually stored on c:\Users\your_username\Favorites or something like that.

try looking for them over there. or run a search looking for any favorite you had stored (they are stored as .url files), it's much likely they got lost in other profie

I did. When searching for them it finds them individually but they are invisible when I directly open the folder. I even installed mozilla and restored my favorites from ie and they all pulled up fine. I could stick with mozilla but really dont want to. Thanks for the advice though!

You're welcome. I have IE, Maxthon, Opera, K-Meleon, Firefox and I believe, Mozilla on here. I mainly use Opera but some sites I need to use something else because of code.

as admitted earlier i am new to mozilla. are mozilla and firefox the same?

check out the tab effect add on and ad blocker. there are a shit ton of add ons, but these two are my favourite.

At first it kept trying to save the .xpi files (for the mozilla addons). So for the first round I had to tell windows to open them with mozilla.

What does the tab effect do exactly? I installed that and the ad blocker and a few others. Thanks for the recommendations.
