You always hear whatever you delete off of a hard drive can be recovered somehow. Anyone use or know of a software that prevents this?

Mac OS has a function that does that for you, I´m pretty sure theres also one in windows. What do you want it for? are you planning on killing someone and you don´t want the police looking for evidence on your hard drive?

There is a lot of software our there that can do this. My brother has some government issued stuff. Shit is crazy but the algorithms that it uses takes a very, very long time. He was playing around with one software that took approximately two days to wipe out a 120GB drive.
