Happy New Year, I got a new ipod for Xmas, its a 160gb classic version. However it only says it has 148gb of memory - does anyone know the reason for this. Also out of the 148gb memory there are about 10gb of something stored on it and I'm not sure what. How do I find out what it is and how do I delete it

Many Thanks

Ian

Re: Ipod Help

160GB ≅ 148 GiB (gibibyte) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gibibyte thats because the industry is to dumb to calculate with 1024 :D

bingo.

it is the same with all Hard Drives. If you do Properties on your C:\ drive, you will see that it is not the capacity that it says on the box.

For ex: my hard drive is a 120gb but in reality, it is 111gb

its normal.
