Lightscribe
Re: Lightscribe
I've read a whole lot of mixed reviews about it till date. In the very beginning that this technology was launched, they had serious issues with the laser not engraving the color "richly" enough on the CD. It also had to do with the dye coated on the disc and so on. Sounds like they've come a long way.
Can you take a photo of a CD you engraved and paste it on here. Would love to see the result as I am on the fence with lightscribe and am considering building a PC in the near future.
Re: Lightscribe
will do tonight. aside from the fact that you obviously only have one color and different shades of that color to work with, I was very impressed with the image I put on one of the CD's I burned from the [ms] members promo section.
Re: Lightscribe
i bought it last year sometime and i have to say its not as impressive as i thought it would be, dont get me wrong its handy sometimes but discs are quite expensive and imo u dont get value for money with the actual end product
Re: Lightscribe
Yeah waste of money for the media. I have both lightscribe and dual layer and don't use either for that reason.
Re: Lightscribe
I messed with this technology back in early '05 but haven't since. It's cool but not cost effective at all. The media is still way too expensive when you can go and get Taiyo Yuden media for damn cheap.
