fun is on PC both hardware and software... the fact that "some macs" can run windows xp/vista doesn't mean you are going to get the same experience meaning full PC hardware capabilities. (notice the mac mentioned above which didn't impress me a bit) at the end of the day you end up using WINDOWS for the cool stuff weather you like it or not.

oh and they have 4 different and varied priced versions of the same operating system. MAC has ONE and at ONE price that does everything. No need to upgrade to Leopard Pro...if you have a mac, you already have the pro and elite version of the OS.

The only disadvantage I've ever had is not being able to use certain online media players. To me however, that's hardly a disadvantage considering all the trouble you'll save yourself by having a mac. Seriously though, I don't mean to bash pc's, but I've been using Mac Powerbooks for six years now and I can honestly say they are hassle free. Everytime I use a pc there's a problem that shouldn't be.

oh, i am very sorry for misunderstanding, i was talking about new Leopard.

but i can say, that OSX did freeze so many times during normal use. XP had a slow start, but i wouldn change it now for any OS i know about.

Gotta say I might even make the switch to Vista again, since -apart from the driver problems which have been solved for me- i really thought i was more stable than XP...at least for me. Not switching to Mac, since I'd want a Mac Pro and not an Imac, and they're so incredibly expensive i get nightmares about it.

And, for 3D PC's are better, too (source: Computer Arts), and I definitely want to move into that direction a bit more in the near future.
