right now i have a 17" apple flat panel [IMG]http://www.dvwarehouse.com/images/apple%2017%20lcd_cc.jpg[/IMG]

i would like to upgrade to a 24", and apple would be nice, but the cheaper the better (without it being a piece of shit).

i am not into games, graphics ... none of that lark. just producing music... any suggestions on models? thanks!

I'm about to get a quick nap before I head to the airport but I do recommend some models from Dell and Samsung. Samsung has a couple of really good 24" models and Dell has two, as long as you get the right revision. I'm sure others will chime in.

I have the third revision of the non-HC from Dell and love it. I was very hesitant as it is a Dell but compared to what else was out at the time (and the price), I'm extremely happy with it. I got it back in April I believe for $560 shipped so it wasn't too bad. I did have my eye on an HP at the time but it was going for around $900 at the time and didn't feel like spending that much on it.

I almost forgot, that Samsung was on sale recently for $399 before rebate and like $360 after. Forgot where I saw it but that wasn't a bad deal for that monitor. Any higher and it's not really worth it as it's not a high end model from Samsung.

The Dell 2407WFP-HC is on-sale for $568.65 right now...which IMO is steal.

Find more coupons online to bring it even cheaper. Should be no problem finding free shipping too. Too bad the quality of the 27" sucks. Otherwise, you could go even bigger. Even the 30" is suffering. Give it a year and there should be something in that size range that will finally be quality.
