Anyone have any intel on when, specifically, this is likely to be released? I know they said "October," but I was wondering if there was anything more concrete than that.

Re: Leopard?

There're rumors of new macbooks with al enclosures, possibly released with Leopard. That'd be sweet if it's all happening in Oct.

St. Louis is a dead city surrounded by suburbs with a nice mix of white/black trash with horrible roads a polluted Mississippi River runned by a small population of wealthy jews. Thats just my two-cents. I guess St. Louis had Nelly

At least Jefferson City has the capital...

Do my eyes deceive me? Is someone from Jeff City, the unquestioned armpit of our state, talking smack about St. Louis? I guess you've got to be pretty imaginative to be able to keep yourself entertained in that god-forsaken hell-hole of a town, so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you're still speaking from the Land of Make Believe you've created in which Jefferson City doesn't positively blow.

hey srbbnd, I'm glad you think macs suck, but I'd love a detailed lengthy explanation as to why they suck. Please enlighten me who works at MTV in NYC supporting over 500 macs as to how and why they suck.

Thanks in advance!

Why srbbnd does not like macs

 1. Spinning rainbow wheel of death
 2. Video game compatibility
 3. Networking with shared servers at work-"apple k" "click on desktop" "apple k" connect "connect for the love of god"
 4. They look like they should be on Star Trek in the 60's
 5. Targeted towards hipsters
 6. Bill Gates is God and you don't wan't to upset God

MTV sucks and a Mac user would try to boast about working at MTV and using macs.

I will admit Missouri does suck and Jefferson City sucks, but St. Louis is not exactly the hub of enlightenment.

Re: Leopard?
1. Missoura sucks. Period.
Yeah, good point. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to head back outside to experience something the people outside of Southern California know as "fall" and hang out in my three story, 3000 square foot house that probably cost a quarter of what your 400 square foot condo in Orange County costs.;)

In all seriousness, Missoura does kinda suck, but Missouri, i.e., St. Louis, KC, and the oasis of rational thought that exists in Columbia, is actually a pretty nice place to be. It's not exactly the epicenter of culture, but we have most of the perks of big city living without a lot of the bullshit. It's not NYC or even Chicago, but all things considered, I can think of many worse places to be.

I have to say, though, that I continue to be stunned at the stones coming from srbbnd in the glass house that is Jeff City. I don't know that I've spent time in a crappier town. Someone from Jeff City complaining about St. Louis is like someone sitting in an outhouse complaining that the living room smells like shit. It's mind-boggling to me.

Re: Leopard?

We do have fall in California. I think you forget that we get all of the seasons in this state. There's no such thing as a 400 sq. ft. condo over here. You're thinking of NY.

Now wait a second here. If your house is three stories why is it only 3,000 sq. ft.? That seems kind of small in terms of overall space. Most of my friends' two story homes range from 2,300 to 4,800 sq. ft. What is your layout?

You want to know where the shitholes are? I can think of plenty but I'll just name two right now. Fargo, ND and Great Falls, MT. Two of the worst places I've ever been and I hope to never go back. Ever.

You might think you have seasons, and perhaps in your own little way you do, but it's not like the stark differences in climate you see in other parts of the country. Also, California as a whole does have seasons, but SoCal seems pretty much the same whenever I visit. Beautiful, yes, but the same. ;)

It's a gut-rehabbed Victorian, shotgun-style, open, and very much vertical. The house is open to the third floor, so there is some open space where floor space would otherwise be if it had a traditional layout. Also, the third floor is half the size of the other two floors, so there's that.

I'll guarantee you it cost far, far, less than a comparable property in your area, though. :)

Re: Leopard?

I know the coldest it can get in SoCal is only in the teens but that still promotes winter with all of the snow about. SoCal is half the state so I'm assuming you're only talking about a section of it. The great thing I love about it is that within a 45 min. drive from here I can go experience the winter in the mountains with the snow and then I can still head to the hot climate of the desert as well as down to the beach where the water is still warm enough to trunk it. Done it many a time and yeah, where I live, it's warm 365 days a year. No reason to wear pants, really.

As far as home costs, I'm not denying that at all but with the price comes a great atmosphere and luckily enough the inbred people don't make enough money to live here. Now granted, we do have our fair share of retards, i.e., people that listen to rap but we don't have them backwoods people that I run into throughout the Northwest and Midwest sections of this country. Some fucked up people out there.
