yea i know i saw it like a few days ago as well, but its not worth it if u flash ur 360 becuz u can be baned from live. microsoft always has daily updates when u sign in to live and i know for a fact they will have updates for halo3 to check who is playing with a burned copy and who has their 360 modded. i already know a few peeps that had their 360 banned from live. especially when it comes to playing halo u want to play it live. thats y ill wait till it gets released and buy the original copy

Re: Halo 3

I got back a couple of hours ago from having played it at MSFT's NYC offices... wow, it is such a great game!!! The degree of detail, advancements in gameplay, and all around butt-kicking design of this game is really worth it.

As I already have Halo, Halo 2 (xbox box set), Halo 2 for PC... yeah, I'll eventually get Halo 3 (when i get a 360).

#920151Post 10 of 42

Re: Halo 3

sweet, ill probably be getting it this week for sure..cant wait to get my hands on it.

if u do get a 360 i would recommend getting it from Costco...they have a bundle right now with halo3 not bad in the price. plus whats good about costco is if a year from now it messes up just go and return it to the store and you get ur money back. thats where i got mine.

gotta love costco

he wasnt talking about a mod chip u tard....he was talking about flashing his 360, its very different and it has happened i know some people who have been already banned becuz they were playing burnt games.

also if those of u who have halo 3 already hit me up on live so we can play together

There are mod chips out there that you flash but again, you are a transplant. :roflmao: Gotta love these vidiots.

Re: Halo 3

I had my Xbox banned because Microsoft figured out how to spot people playing burned games. It involves checking to see how long seek times the dvd has and other kinda complicated traps. The firmwares that are now is, for now, undetectable.

Anyways, i finished the single player campain and im really bummed. I dont really like playing online, its not just my cup of tea. But i started playing Halo for the cooperative play and was hoping that Halo 3 would end the saga in a good way, but it sucked. Bad graphics, exactly the same gameplay as in Halo 2, the last level is really lame, jaggies all over in the cut scenes and just.. boring.

Hope you have more fun with the multiplayer.

mod chips are for idiots that can't do a simple task like a flashing a drive. mod chips are as insecure as a flashed 360 when you play live on an original disc.

mod chips go to "sleep" mode but they are still there, it doesn't mean that microsoft is not going to make a patch to ban this morons any time soon.

#920808Post 19 of 42

Re: Halo 3

That can't do a simple task? LMFAO. Insecure? That's why the good ones go undetected and why many people don't ever have issues. Hahahahaha. You make my dick hard.

i do agree, i see plenty of peeps always ask is there just a mod chip, this flashing is so confusing....beanz i know what chips ur talking about its the ones were u can switch on and off so microsoft cant detect it. but as far as playing burnt games u can go a little while in playing burnt games, but eventually microsoft will catch it.

#920816Post 21 of 42

Re: Halo 3

Those same chips are flashable as well. Are there ways of just flashing your present setup without having to mod it and still be able to play burnt games?

#920858Post 22 of 42

Re: Halo 3

just buy a freaking original copy! fucking poor douches

#921320Post 23 of 42

Re: Halo 3

Finished it under 15 hours in Normal mode. The Xbox 360 graphics are unreal. I bought one just for Halo 3 Used an HDMI cable on a Sony SXRD 1080p video projector with Stewart 110" screen, Yamaha 7.1 surround sound processing and amplification, Paradigm Reference speakers, 2 Velodyne 12" subs. Almost felt like you were there in person. Gonna go back and go through the next difficult levels.

yea beanz, its a firmware flash, there are lots of tutorials online, i remember seeing a video tutorial of what u need to do....it was a while back. just google it and you will find it.

Re: Halo 3

Yeah. The graphics aren't amazing on this thing.

As for the flashable firmware, I've yet to see any that are undetectable like the mod chips.

Re: Halo 3

Done my homework. Mediocre graphics and the game is very easy. Figures.

#922454Post 34 of 42

Re: Halo 3

Reviews here said the same..potential wasn't used and no real progress..still a nice game but nothing ground breaking. I bet the PC front will get it in 2010 earliest and it will still look the same. Maybe they keep it back for the next Microsoft OS like they did it with Halo 2. This was a real joke where I asked myself what kind of people work there..the game was released for the PC EXCLUSIVELY for Vista but graphics were almost the same like the Xbox release over 2 years ago and not using any of the newer Shader 3.0 options not to speak of DirectX10. Then they wonder why sales numbers are bad...idiots.

I think people are being to hard on Halo 3. It looks fantastic and i have alot of respect for Bungie & Microsoft for bringing online gaming to the masses.

Heres me powering up to blow my mates head off :)
