What makes no sense? Are you referring to first generation Core 2 or are you talking about Core 2 Duo? I think the pricing is great.

Well here we have the E6750 for ?122. ?75 cheaper then the E6700 and almost as cheap as the E6420. Despite the fact its more powerful than either.

Oh. You're going by the shop's pricing. I thought you were talking about official pricing from Intel. That shop is probably like all of the small ones that get less business. They feel they have to charge more on the older models because they paid more for them earlier. All of the small shops do that crap. Go to a larger, more well known online outfit and you won't see that type of pricing. I know the E6750 lists for around $183 here in the states.
