hey all, hopefully someone can help me out here. Well recently when i have been burning dvds on my computer its been burning them slower than usual. i use nero 6 ultra edition as my burning program. before when i use to burn dvd's the buffer would stay at 100% but now its going crazy. going up and down from 15% to 90%. so now instead of taking like 8 to 10 mins to burn, it takes like 40 mins to burn.

any help??

thanks

Re: Problems with my DVD-R

I only encountered a similar problem when trying to burn XPs built in CD/DVD burning software where the burning speed would automatically reduce if you're doing other things while burning CDs/DVDs (this was a buffer underrun/overrun protection feature). I forget how this could be reset but it wasn't really straightforward.

But it's odd that Nero does this. Try re-installing the software.

Re: Problems with my DVD-R

majority of the time im not running any other program, when i burn dvd's becuz usually if i do it would mess up the quality of the dvd. ill check out the prefrences in nero to see anything different if not then ill try to reinstall the program. thanks for the help though. if anyone else has a solution it would be appreciated.

thanks again

Re: Problems with my DVD-R

Have you tried the easy route of uninstalling the software and then reinstalling it to see if that would make a difference?
