level 39, score 5762. level 39 is the last level, and the monsters don't stop coming out until you're dead. 25001 hp each.

This was my setup right before I died on 39. Score eneded up being ~8700

I can't get past level 35...had as many of the fire turrets as I could afford and had some water (water seems to suck) and 20% interest...and still chronic cash shortages. I guess you need to upgrade the stuff you do have more frequently...
