Connecting my PS3 too the WEB

I can't get on the web for shit. I've called Sony and they told me to call my internet carrier(Verizon) and have them open a couple of ports. So I calleed them and they gave me a site to go to and open the ports up but I can't figue the shit out. I have a 60 gig which is the only ps3 that can be hooked up thru wireless and my service provider supplies you with a wireless router when you get set up with them. My PS3 is picking up a signal(like 60%) and I have even manually imput my I.P. address but whenever I try to connect it keeps telling me that my PS3 has timed out. Anyone have any tips to help me?

Thanks in advance

Re: Connecting my PS3 too the WEB

Are you making sure you router is forwarding the ports to your PS3? Have you tried it with the RJ45 connector as well?
