my history!! sad

mates i just had a really bad day today.....a friend of mine ask me if i can bought a HD for him a 250gb HD...so i did...he ask me to install it...so heres my history....i didnt know that some mothersboards couldnt support larger HD and thats why his HD of 120 was limit only to 32gb with the jumper i remove one and put the other on slave and.....the system wouldnt run.....so i was piss off....im not that a computer geek you know..i thought it was only a regular job to do....if you know what i mean...anway.....remove the hd of my friends and put it on slave and put it on my comp to see if my comp detect it and it was....but somehow...i mess up with it....who the hell what i did that the OS went off and my friends partition 32gb-90gb or so....came one...and the OS couldnt run because was missing some files....so i get frustated.....mess up with something wasnt mine....anyway i tried to repair it but it was to late....put my cd of windows pro and try to repair it....after the license stuff like a regular installation but it say that the HD has not sufficient space on it only 10mb free...can you belive it..............so im fucking nervous right now coz he has alot of pictures of his trips and he didnt make a backup like we geeks!......or not so geeks!......anyway i went to other friend who know better computers stuff and hes trying to repair the damage i did.......hes charging me like 35$ buck for it.....isnt that expsive.....?.....told me that is more probably that he can recover the files....if not im in a very fu**ing problem!!...........man .......just want it to share that with you...nothing importan anyway........but feel better when you talk it :what

usually the hard drives will come with software that edit the registry settings (iirc) that will make the OS detect the entire HD. And what you are saying is not clear because the limit for old windows to detect large drives was 137 GB. So that 120 GB HD should be NO PROB to detect.

what brand is the motherboard ?

not sure mate....the HD is a samsung.....im not at home so cant see the brand of the motherboard
