this could be very interesting shooter after all... havent tried it yet, but hope i will soon...

nope delayed endlessly and now the game comes out next Year but it will be a 08/15 shooter as they had to get rid of many features to release it in a timely manner..another small underground team with high expectations but not enough manpower and knowledge to make their goals come true.

has anyone seen/played this yet?? i'm deciding on whether to get this since i had been reading really mixed reviews ... gamespot gave it 8.5/10 but from game forums there have been lots of negative reviews of it

its the dynamic lights feature, if i turn it off, everything works fine in almost highest graphic detail, but if it is on, thing freezes...

i dont know why, maybe its my weak GPU, Radeon x1300 with omega drivers...

i dont know if i should try the original ones....

it is reported that the game is shipped with a couple of critical bugs .. maybe thats one of them .... the bugs would probably be fixed with the upcoming patches

sucks that they shipped it with bugs ... since they already delayed the game by a couple of years why not a few more months to fix those bugs

i suppose because they went dry on cash, they had to release the game.....

as for the gameplay, the only thing that isnt good is that you need to walk over enormous distances with enemy spawning all around you, and killing same thing over and over again.

bugs are with missions, sometimes they just end, or deactivate/activate themselves, story is good, but those enemies are little boring, especially when they spawn again, after half a day....

doesnt sound appealing enough for me to get it ... and i wonder why all the gaming reviews are raving about it when player reviews that i've found are mostly negative

double click on an item in the inventory?

or right click, and than in the pop-up menu click what you want to do with it....

if the dogs are too much for you, try taking them one a time, in the numbers, you cant do much, they take you down almost instantly. and check difficulty level, in my game, sometimes i find ti again set at master level, so need to lover it a little.

at master level, those soldiers see you at their back, like they have some radars installed.

ah, yes, hows your dynamic lightning going, my gpu doesn't digest it...

man i,m @ the bit where u go underground and i swear i cant even get down the first flight of stairs lol, man this game is heavy :)

My Ukranian friend actually worked developing this game...for the past 3-4 years. They had so many problems...its actually based on a soviet film about cherobyl its a really good game. p.s If I was in your shoes I'd wait a little bit before buying it about two to three weeks as he claims that an official patch will be out to fix all the bugs...well he already has it but he is "testing" it now...lol...

lure them in the pipe you started in!!!!

its the only way, i died there countless times, visibility is so low you cant see anything in the dark, so better stay in the dark and lure them on the light..

i got buy that part only to get mauled by the mutant, finally got by that part to get the the spiral staircase, lured them in the we bit shot them to hell then gave up, found a cheat with unlimited ru unlimited amo unlimited health unlimited weight and also one which allows u to buy just about everything from the first trader, been playing it with a smile ever since lmao :lol:

its very slow loading though

Tell your friend he did a good job and he is welcome to register here hehe..the Game has bugs but it is awesome speaking of atmoshpere and motivation. I started playing it with a mate yesterday and nearly fell from my chair because I got scared of a mutant dog. :lol: The KI of this game is not bad...the actions of the monsters depend on several conditions...if your health is full and you meet 1-2 dogs they run away but if you are heavily wounded even one dog will attack you and if they come in a pack they attack you anyway most of the times. You can also do nice things with the environment and the anomalies and I really like the dark, rusty and abandonded looking scenery in this Game. Stalker is pretty tough though and Quickload is my friend. :lol:

hehe, that one is clever advice.....

if you look at the map, you can see little markers, where are hidden stashes, the info you get when you check the bodies. wide range of things can be found there.

ah yes, wait till you get a scope for AK-47, than it starts to really get going. save all weird stuff (eyes, legs, etc.) for selling it to the scientist (pays good, and saves lives)

I can't wait for the Patch 1.02...god these guys had so many time but the Game is still full of bugs as I had to realize after a few hours of playing it. Amongst a plethora of general bugs and not working as suspected features, the spawn rate is too high and will be corrected with the next patch and I can't wait for that..you can't check the enemies you shot down to empty their inventory sometimes before the next wave of enemies spawns wtf.....frustrating and feels like being in a endless running script.

and i think it has to do something with the level of difficulty, if you set it to novice, i think they take more time to spawn.

most annoying thing is with those quests which reappear on the map, some time after you finish them, at least i think so...

2 red1: get to me when you come to the first wild area after the bar to the right, if you really want that armor...

one other thing which is interesting, i have loads of money, and i dont know what to do with it. any ideas?

ahh, i just found some multiplayer tool for this game, anyone heard anything about it, or is anyone interested or knows someone who can host a MP game?

one more thing, i just found patch 1.01, and i cant believe that it doesnt support previous saved games!!!!!!!!!!! this cant be happening, i dont wanna start over again... cheers

i,ve just completed the game lol ( with help from cheats of course ) just to have a quick look @ how long it lasts, man i was getting so into it i didnt want it to end, this game is one of the best i,ve played, its stunning.......the money......i would buy as much weaponary as u can, hey have any of u found the arena yet? lol thats cool but make sure u search the box as u come out of it or u will loose all ur weapons, first time i went in and came out i thought the guy who is standing there had stole all my weapons so i wasted him, got me nowhere but it was great satisfaction lol then i started walking around to try to get weapons and after playing it for a couple of hours i went back to the arena and searched the box and found my complete stash, we should try and all get a game online, would be a laugh

i would gladly host the game, but my machine has problems with one player, i dont know what will happen if i try MP, will check it out tomorrow, as my G/F is going for a weekend with her folks, and i am staying home alone.
