This shit is badass. I purposely skipped BF2 when I heard this was coming out, and man was that a good idea. BF2 is good and all, but the sci-fi theme of 2142 is right up my alley. It runs really good too....I've got graphics and sound on high and am getting between 40-70 FPS. If you've played any of the Battlefield series you know what to expect, but the new setting makes it totally better. Wait till the first ime you get into a walker. :shock:

Basically, it's every bit as good as I thought it would be. :RockOn:

yeah dude ive just finished downloading the demo and am installing direct x updates now. i saw the trailer and cant wait to get into the thick of it. every bf game has been badass... this one looks like it will be there best yet..

actually, i'm playing Project Reality Mini Mod, a modification for bf2. you can find it on [url]www.realitymod.com[/url] i love the recoil, the no health indicator, and other stuff that make the game funnier :)

i played all the bf series. Vietnam i thought was the worst. In any case, I haven't played 2142 yet but it looks so hot. From what I hear though, it's pretty buggy, but knowing EA, they'll release earlier than they should have.

That's about it at first...capturing silos and healing/reparing/resupplying your squad. Stay in a squad at all times and you will learn things pretty fast. Doing just about anything in a squad gives you a shitload of bonuses.

I've been trying out Commander and it is [B]SICK[/B]!!! You can call down EMP strikes from orbit. :twisted:

as for the bf 2142 demo i didnt get a good look at it because its only multiplayer and atm my ping is too high (wireless) why not have a 1 player demo with the bots ffs :evil:

all the bf games have the same skill set. noone learns a new bf from scratch if they have played it before.

sure there are little tips that the pros know ect but for the most part they are the same..

i usually play in a non-ranked server, so i have the lowest rank :p i only bought it to play with my friends and my clan

Well....if I had to venture a guess....I'd say there are multiple killzones....and they're numbered starting with 0 instead of 1. Thus...this would be the first one.

I used to play CoD: United Offensive and dominated to the point that everyone called me a hack. I now play BF2 and I love it. Graphics and sound are ace! I got into the game a bit late and Im slowly rising up in rank.

I honestly cannot put this game down. The ranks, the unlocks, the pins, the badges, the multitude of stats to follow...it's almost like a first-person online role-playing game.

A word of advice....start on your badges as soon as you start playing. I got 1500 points and 2 ranks last night by getting 3 badges.

yeh cant play online yet, been playing single player a bit i think the newbie guns are gay but the rest of the game is everything i expected it to be. is there a way you can improve ranking on singleplayer to unlock the decent guns? im not sure why the guns are worse in the future. bf2 guns are so much better at killing than bf2142 guns.

Believe me ...the weapons get way better as you unlock the better versions. The Assault light assault and Recon assault rifle are deadly once you learn how to use them. Laying demo paks and blowing people up as they walk through doors is one of the coolest gameplay elements in any game I've ever played.

And no, you have to play on ranked servers to gain points.
