...can participate in the Counter-Strike: Source beta testing. I'm downloading it right now.

Finally this useless piece of paper called a Half-Life 2 voucher is actually worth something. This ties right onto it...the beta testing started out in cyber cafes, then was extended to Counter-Strike: Condition Zero owners, now it is available to us 9600 and 9800 XT owners.

I'll post again after I've played it for awhile and let you all know what's up. I'm expecting alot of crashes and instabilty, but hey...that's what this whole thing is about.

yeah i read about that this morning. you do not need that card, it is open to all, it just will perform perhaps better. but you do need condition zero, and i think you can grab it from stream.

You have to have bought a Radeon 9800 or 9600 XT that came with the free Half-Life 2 deal.

This shit is S-I-C-K!!!! I've been over Counter-Strike for years but this is totally different. I can't even explain how much bettter it is. They must have the game pretty well tuned already cause I'm running it at 1280x1024 with everything maxed at a pretty much constant 45 fps.

This makes the wait for Half-Life 2 that much more bareable.

i can download it ... and i have an old ati card, and nvidia ... herm.

Have you got to try it out yet?? I love it. Everything about it is 10x better. Graphics, sound, physics (not like the original gad any, but you get my drift), interface, control, everything.

I feel you on that. I have 3 papers to write before my next class and I'm starting to think they are in jeopardy of never coming too be.

lol. that's why i stay away. min. is 6 hours ... and if it is pimp, which it sounds it is ... perhaps the min would be 48 hours. you know, just to test it out and stuff.

when i first play the half-life mod some many years back, when it just came out ... i was hooked. i played for about 28 hours straight. fucked class, fucked eating, fucked sleeping, the only thing i did do was eat a pack of ho-hos and smoke two packs of cigs. and a piss some where in there. my roomie freaked out on my because of the mouse clicking ... and the glare from the moniter. rofl. that was a good day ... two days.

i get really worried when i see that icon. i have it hidden in three folders. lol. renamed the folder it resides in, and have the folder hidden. see, i need to protect myself.

cz is pretty cool. there are a few changes ... but the beta on the hl2 engine ... fucking really worries me. :shock:
