But seriously, i hope he`s ok.
The game is Awesome! I already beat it and boy are those bosses bigger than ever with the new graphics ID uses in their engine. Im running this game on my P4 3.06ghz with HT, 1 GB Ram, ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb and an Audigy 2 with my Bose Quietcomfort2 for sound. I highly recommend it if your computer is up to date hardware wise. :D
Re:: Doom 3
Better than 2.
Re:: Doom 3
2800 barton, 512, 9800pro 128, soundstorm.. not found best combination yet but I'd really like 1Gb ram, there's noticeable swapping.
here we go again......

The game runs smooth@1280x1024 with everything set to extreme but I don't like the Game too much. :? The gameplay is so year 2000 and after playing Far cry Doom 3 can lick my hairy ass. This game came out too late and the hype about it raised expectations too much because speaking of gameplay, there is hardly no change from Doom I or II to Doom III. The latest shooter game I played was Far Cry and besides a similiar graphical quality, the level designers of Doom III can learn from them how to program a KI and bring some diversity in the level programming. Doom III is not bad but the level design is ancient....small levels, no room to strafe or to even think about tactics....you enter a room and nobody is in...then you walk on a certain point and trigger an action and boom monsters spawn behind you or walls open where monsters wait like unused vacuum cleaners. Annoying after two hours because it?s always the same and predictable. Mr. Carmack should concentrate less on the graphics and light effects and get some help from level and KI programmers IMO. The whole levels are way too dark as well. This is ok for a frightening atmosphere but when every level looks the same and if it?s always dark, this effect wears out pretty fast and changing from flashlight to weapons all the time is annoying as well. The story develops when you read stereotype Emails or other messages and there are hardly no cutscenes besides the ones presenting new enemies. Here in Germany ID software were not able to give any copies to the press so nobody was able to read a preview before they bought the Game. I don't think this happened at random and I am curious how professional Gamer magazines will rate it this month.
yeah, i was kinda bored with the gameplay.
either the hackers will mod the shit out of the game and save it, or half life 2 will destroy it :lol:
Right now ive been diggin Counterstrike Source and the HL2 engine looks awesome. The Beta has a lot of bugs that Valve is still working on but once the game is done, The game will own.
