Re: What client do you use for torrent files?

i tried most of them, but for me, the best is µtorent, right now it uses only 6MB of memory, i suppose 1MB for a torrent, lot of options in it. and its small, only one file, less then 1MB if i remember right...

using it for half a year now, definitely beter than most other * torrents

Re: What client do you use for torrent files?

As far as I remember, Azureus uses Java.

I used ABC (Another Bittorrent Client) and it works AMAZINGLY well. Very light and pretty good.

I'm with beanz, Azureus rocks. The plugins make it so much more functional. Use the RSS feeds and filters to download shit automagically.

Re: What client do you use for torrent files?

oke the news about azureus, just read it on the PCstats newsletter:

PCstats Weekly Tech Tips: Azureus BitTorrent Client Encryption TechniqueBitTorrent (BT)is one of the most useful protocols for finding and transferring files between peers, however it might be a bit too successful. Many ISP's (at least in North America) now throttle BT traffic to keep it from eating up too much bandwidth. That can slow data transfers to a handful of KB/s. Azureus (http://azureus.sourceforge.net ) is one of the more popular BitTorrent clients available, and it comes with a very handy feature - the ability to encrypt BT traffic! That means the ISP can no longer throttle traffic because it doesn't know what the packets are for. To use this feature, you'll need to install the Azureus client, and after the program has loaded click on the "Tools" menu then "Options...". From there expand the "Connections" options, click on "Transport Encryption" and in the main window check the "Require encrypted transport" box. Leave the "Minimum encryption transport" at stock (RC4) and also check the "Allow non-encrypted outgoing connections if encrypted connection attempts fails" and "Allow non-encrypted incoming connections" boxes so you can connect to non-encrypted traffic too. Once you've made those changes, click the save button and you're all set! From now on even if your ISP throttles BitTorrent traffic, the encryption will allow your data to run at full speed. =) Please note that Azureus is a bit of a memory hog, and requires Java to function.

so atleast for one thing its better to have azureus. but if someone has azureus from US, and like, i have uTorrent in EU, and he is encrypting date, will i be able to recieve it:?:
