I usually upload @ around 80 kb/second, using megaupload and sendspace..i don't know if it's just me but i find that kinda slow compared to my dowload speed of around 500 kb/second...:(

those are fucken good speeds Xo1. i only get bout 11 or 12 on mega, sendspace. and my download goes at max say 45. my download avg is say 20. is that slow. i use soulseek how do i speed things up. on soulseek it goes bout 18 kbs. i thought that was good and here u go tell me that u get avg 500 or 80. that is insane. have i mis understood anything here

nope...my dl speed is not what i'm actually complaining about, which truthfully averages around 500 k's a second of a single source, i was just wondering if it's normal to have upload speeds 6 times slower than download speeds.
By the way, where you from?...and who's your internet service provider (ISP)

upload is usually about 1/8th to 1/10th as fast as download for most ISPs. i get 1MB download, but only about 150k upload.

The average upload speeds I get are around 89KBps but the fastest I've ever seen is around 135KBps.

i get it to from 50-80 kBs up, and from 150-350 kBs, with a connection as my ISP told me 3 / 512, but i rarely got to the upper limit, from ms i had few times around 250kBs as a constant for some time.

You can improve that by prioritizing ACK packets if you have a decent router/firewall.
