Hey all i have been using sharepod (which is great mind u) to copy my playlist's from my ipod to my computer. Then for some reason my computer crashed :(. I rebooted it and unpluged my ipod. I checked my playlist and all the songs got deleted :(. Luckly i have most of them backed up. Now i have nothing on my ipod. Then i went to put back some stuff onto my pod through itunes and it says

"Itunes cannot read the contents of the ipod "Johns" (which is the name of my pod). Use the ipod sofware updater application to restore the ipod to factory settings".

What the hell dos that mean?? It just happened so i need a qucik answer please. Also does anyone know if there is a way to put folders onto the ipod. It only does it in playlists and i think if u could put folders in it that would be great. I mean then u can have lets say fabric cd's as the main folder then all the fabric releases in smaller folders which has the tracks in each seperate cd. Hope i made sense. Anyway any advice on my ipod problem would be greatly appericated. Thanks :D

Re: My ipod won't detect Please help

Is there software that you can reload again to see if the system will recognize your iPod? I've heard so many problems about that you wouldn't believe it. Call tech support as well.
