Looking to purchase speakers for my home computer (pc). Any recommendations on brand/models?

I'm using logitech computer speakers. They compare to Altec Lansing but more affordeable.

I bought mine on Ebay for about $50 with shipping... I use them in my office and they sound great!

If you need quality speakers, don't go for the obvious pc (related) brands like Logitech, Creative, whatever. Those guys know how to make PC shit, but they don't have a clue as far as sound is concerned.

If sound quality is important to you, I have two recommendations:

I had those, they were incredible until the sub's power supply melted into itself.... they have a defect that allows this to happen quite often apparently, beware.

I think you need to decide if you want a 2.1 or 5.1 (and above) system first before shopping for the speakers.

Creative make some pretty good speakers. I think they even have a 5:1 with wireless rear speakers.

love them, sound great... i dont need anything too major just a couple of good sounding speakers and a nice clean sub. job done.
