it almost pains me to see there are people still doing this. seriously, i was typing without looking when i was in the 3rd grade, to see people in their adulthood still doing this is a shame. i'm not gonna mention any names tho: coughthis guy sitting next to me in the computer labcough

theres lot of people with that problem, im in a library right now, im looking at everybody and 5/7 people looks at the keyboard when they write.... were in mexico though, personal computers got here just 10 years ago.... by the way i did learn to write with out looking in 7th grade with a big old fashioned writing machine.

I can dial a phone, type on the keyboard, us a 10 key pad, use my mortgage calc all without looking, but not at the same time.
My boss hunts and pecks and it is awesome to watched when he is all pissed off... Takes him hours to bitch at us! hehe

can usually do around 35-40 give or take a bit...even looking down at times.
Understandably how many didn't get into the computer craze until late, but it still amazes me who can't type and who can't run a computer very well (like the minute something goes wrong they think it's a pos :lol: )

im not gonna hold it against someone who barely uses a computer or didnt learn to type till later in their lives, theres cases where people just havnt had the environment to develop their typing skills. but if you have taken typing courses in school over the years and constantly use a computer and still hunt and peck i have no sympathy for that.

I annoys me when I watch people using their mouse to do everything when they could save so much time using keyboard shortcuts.

not bad for an english text. :) I write fast but only use 2 fingers. I hardly look down while I type..running a Forum and whoring around there every day is the best practise in writing you can imagine.

I'd be typing along, and suddenly a comma would appear out of nowhere where it had no business being and I'd have to go back and insert it. I type much faster when I'm typing my own thoughts than when I'm replicating someone else's text, especially when that test is counterintuitive.
