Best out there - completely idiot proof and you can move tunes between your comp and iPod with minimal hassle.

Re: iPod Help -> Using iDump

I received an IPod for Christmas and imported all my music from my windows My/Documents/My Music files (which were all catagorized with each artist having his own file) and it ended up in one big file menu in iTunes.

Have not had to time yet to sort out the whole process.

Re: iPod Help -> Using iDump

Itunes will sort exactly the same way you just need to set your preferences to not auto sort if you already have a system...

Ska... the itunes issue is only that you cant pull off the ipod only play off it using itunes (to limit file sharing and piracy)

Itunes doesnt suck at all, it's got amazing built in encoding and is very efficient too, it's been 4 years since I used winamp but I cant recall anything about it that was all that nifty, what's the benefit you feel you will lose if switching? I'm curious..

Re: iPod Help -> Using iDump

The winamp version is just more user friendly IMO. Easier to organize, ability to xfer back and forth, less memory/storage usage - just a matter of personal preference I guess.

you can't rip off your Ipod in Itunes, I recomend IpodRip

http://www.thelittleappfactory.com/application.php?app=iPodRip

Itunes is by far the most sophisticated music player out there, remember that next time your PC crases while winamp is playing.
